We offer basic needs family services including housing, food, and financial assistance.
Food
We have food assistance resources for families to get access to fresh groceries.
Mercadito Food Distribution
In partnership with Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, School of Arts and Culture at MHP distributes free groceries, including vegetables, fruits, and canned goods, to families in East San José. Please visit SOAC’s event page to learn more about their food distribution program, Mercadito and upcoming dates. Register in-person during Mercadito.
Veggielution Farm boxes
Veggielution distributes free organic fruit and vegetables to families every week at the farm. If you are interested in applying, please fill out the application here, and someone will contact you to let you know if you qualify.

CALFRESH APPLICATION (FOOD STAMPS)
Get food assistance benefits that can be used at grocery stores, farmer’s markets & more. Staff will walk you through the application process and answer any questions.

CHILD CARE
Grail Family Services provides local, affordable and high-quality child care through their Home Education Network and full-day Toddler Center. Their Home Education Network offers subsidized child care and quality early education to infants through a network of trained and licensed child care providers. At their newly renovated Toddler Center, toddlers will receive quality care and enriching education.

Housing
Amigos de Guadalupe offers assistance for families struggling to maintain housing and for families experiencing displacement.
Their services include:
- Safe space to park for those residing in their vehicles
- Temporary housing

We help you identify the correct programs you can apply to and assist you in completing the applications so you don’t feel alone. We are with you every step of the way.
